Holy Crap. I don't know what to say. I saw it over the weekend, because if you've watched Star Wars and The Longest Yard there is nothing to see(especially with a girl). Let me tell you what, that is the "chick flick"iest movie ever made. I was holding back laughter and tears it was so hilariously awful. I was holding it in becasue the lady was gettin into parts of it. It is the corniest piece of work I've ever seen. Magical pants...definitely thumbs down. Save your money.
Any other incredibly awsome boyfriends out there that took the painful poisoned bullet and watched this with your ladies?

So, I gather someone is not in touch with their "feminine side"
 :D

Hey, I've seen alot of chick flicks that I can totally watch. But this one was over the top. My gf said that it got pretty darn corny in some spots. It's more a movie for about a 12 yr old girl. Not really for anyone voting age or older IMO.

i had to sit through "the notebook" with my wife and her three friends. afterwards i demanded we go to the bar so i can get a drink! being at a bar with four chicks is still not worth that movie.

Ya it's lookin like the notebook is going to be next week. She's got the dvd. I needed a break:D

Awww. the Notebook was a good movie - even if the ending was a little corny.
The "Traveling Pants" movie sounds like a younger version of "Ya-Ya Sisterhood". Blehhhh!

Dolfan,
It's based on a series of books aimed at young teen-aged girls, which is probably why it didn't appeal to you, but I'm sure you scored HUGE brownie points with the GF for going with her!!!

I hope you get "paid back" for that!!!
Speaking of movies, I went to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith...
It really wasn't very good.
If you just want to see an action movie with Jolie in it, then you MIGHT enjoy it. However, it was really predictable to the point you could guess what the next line was going to be. Take everything people make fun of about action movies and cram it in an hour and a half... that is what it is.
Maybe Batman will be better.

Good god I hope so. Luckily my wife has no tolerance for lame crap like this.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith sounds like a great movie. I love action and Anjelina:D. Batman actually looks like it's going to be pretty good. The Drive In by my house in a few weeks are going to be playing both of them(you pay for two movies).
....And yes I got paid back for that movie:D

Tony: I love action movies too, but was just let down by it. You might like it. Just keep in mind when thinking about Jolie, it is rated PG13. Had it been rated R, it might have had some redeeming qualities :)

With a name like that you expected it to actually be good or perhaps even palatable? I think it's the stupidest name for I movie I have ever heard....

Ya I hadn't heard anything about it when she mentioned it. I just though "OMG that can NOT be good". I was however expecting a tolerable movie, I was still dissappointed.

Dolfan all those brownie points you've gotten can be removed by one trip to Hooters.

My wife also enjoys mowing the lawn!!! I guess I am sorta lucky.

I am a strong advocate of using children as slave labor - someones gotta wash dishes, mow the lawn, do the water changes. These things build character and discipline - some day they will thank you :D.... :lmao:
