Sump Question

Im curious what other people put in their sumps. I have my Protein Skimmer and a little bit of live rock. Seems to still get a little messy down there. Any cleanup crew in sump beneficial?

I have my skimmer, and my refugium, some snails spontaneously appeared in there, and there are pods, and bristol worms in there. thats about it, nothin specifically in there to clean up

I have a plenum, live rock, cheato, and some hermit crabs in my sump.
