I recently purchased a valentini puffer before realizing they are not reef friendly. Please help me save my little reef by buying yourself a new friend. He is very cute and healthy. I live in central WI and figure $25 would be fair, heck I paid $30.

I have a little puffer - I am not really sure whether it is a bennetts or a valentini. I got him when I re-started my tank up - it was going to be fish only this time around. Ha ha - that lasted about two weeks before I headed reef again. So, he has been in there since opening day in January. I have kept an eye on him, and haven't seen him harm any corals. He did pick at a turbo snail once, and I scared him with the net, and I swear he doesn't touch them anymore. I AM pretty sure he snacks on ceriths. But NOTHING ELSE and he is soo cool looking and I don't think I could catch him anyway. I have heard from one or two others that these guys might be ok for reefs, depending on the individual fish and what you keep.
