I found two of these bubbles in my tank, can anyone tell me what it is. The pic looks green, but in the tank its actually pretty translucent. I'm hoping its a zoo starting to grow.

Well, sorry bud. It doesn't look alot like a zoo. Hate to burst your bubble, no pun intended hahahah...ahhh ok.

Theres an article on valonia and other bubble algea things here (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-02/hcj/feature/index.htm)

get behind it with a q tip and force it out, If you try to do so with your hands you will burst if it, therefore releasing spores into the water and it will spread like wildfire. BE CAREFUL.

Small rock - pull it out of the water then remove the bubble.

if you just gently twist it it will come off intact.
