FS: RED/ Orange small Angler - SOCAL

i got him a tad more than a week ago when i saw him eat (live). been trying to get him to eat frozen, tried krill, squid, silverslides.... nothing has worked yet.

as a result im going to sell him to someone who will hopefully have more luck. he is about 1.5 inches so perfect for a really small tank. i paid $75+ for him.

Asking $60 obo, i guess i want to find another small one in the future that i know eats frozen for sure. pictures below: taken with flash so the coloration doesnt look as good, but you get the point.

yes, i still have him. several lowballin offers, a few from outta state (but then id have to ship, and i would prefer for him to avoid that stress) so he's still here chillin like a villian, waitin ta please his new owner.

he ate a marine shrimp one week ago, today is the first day that i noticed my cleaner shimp absent. i saw the cleaner shrimp this morning.... not now...

so to answer your question, he ate for SURE about 8-9 days ago, he MIGHT have eaten today.

You might want to entice him to eat by waiting a few days.... I got my frogfish to eat after not feeding him for like 7-10 days.

I noticed that I can trigger a feeding response more easily by using the head portion of a silverside, and quick jerking motions.

I dont know, but I am going to make a guess that the eel may eat him (look how small it is!)

back... now then, cleaner shrimp is definately gone, and KIA.... damnit..

much interest, but no definate takers yet... im going to UP the price ($5) cause of the loss of my shrimp for now.


its difficult to do jerking motions inside of my 6g (plus i dunno if im doing it right). i keep trying frozen but for now it looks like hes got a taste for live. furthermore he is not a darker shade of red. i think he's trying to blend into the PURPLE coraline algae.

so he is $65.. in terms of money im STILL LOOSING.

sorry greencard, im definately NOT trying to jerk you around, but the angler got really really hungry today and i have pictures of him eating a nice fat shimp (DEAD/ FROZEN/ KRILL)

as a result im going to keep him. I got a lotta interest, thankfully no one took him right away.
