They are very hard to keep and usually die. I believe if you took the time and energy to spot feed them you ma ybe able to keep them

They brood their eggs and release planktonic larvae that feed. And here's the catch. :D You would need a special tank and a lot of different phytoplankton, time and money. They're not economically that important, so I doubt any one would "take the plunge".
