crab death???

Weird thing happened today. I put a couple of new pieces in my tank today and I looked back in a half hour later and I noticed that I now had a dead sally-lightfoot crab and a dead horseshoe crab that had been in my tank for 18 months. Hermit crabs are still running wild. All other livestock looks awesome. Any ideas?

I hope so too. keep us updated. It would seen strange to have 2 crabs die and every thing else fine with no changes to the tank.
I've had my sallylightfoot for 3 years now and she has been through tank changes and rock slides and returns bigger.
Any changes to the tank in the last few days ?

only for the better. Although I had a little bit of sawdust fall from my canopy into my overflow but I doubt that would do it. They probably molted....I am up-sizing my tank in 6 weeks so I may find out for sure at that point in time, unless they show up on their own.
