My next article is on precipitates of various sorts: what they are, why they form, etc.
I'm looking for a picture, to accompany the article, of a tank experiencing a limewtaer overdose, that is cloudy/milky.
Anyone have one that I can use in the article?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Randy. I had a precipitation event a couple of months back that resulted from a combiation of too much Kalk and B-Ionic at the same time. I hope this will help. Here is a pic a couple of hours after the event and a follow up pic of the tank. I did not lose any livestock during the incident and the tank was clear again by the next morning. I could easily see the individual particles that looked like a snow storm swirling in the current. Here are the pic's and I hope they help you.

This is the JPG form, don't know if it's better than the BMP file above.

What you don't see in my picture is me lying on the floor in the fetal position sucking my thumb, wimpering.

Glad to help Randy. I remember crying on the floor as well thinking I had just killed everything. As Ereefic said, at least our screwup now can be useful. :)

Its amazing how in this hobby it takes months/years of good husbandry to achieve perfection but it only takes a couple seconds for total destruction!!

If I have a picture of white deposits on the glass (like, you can't see the lower half of the aquarium) that I halted by raising magnesium, would you be interested in that?
