Don't know if anyone has seen this, but I thought it was pretty cool and worthy of a post.

The species is considered the largest fish. The ones they moved were realitively small as whale sharks go. Still pretty cool though.

Interesting, wonder what they plan on doing with them when they get bigger

You should see what it takes to ship those guys. They usually have several stops along the way and are tested and have water changes and such between flights etc.
Most of these bigger animals have a biologist or two traveling with them to ensure their health.
I have been impressed every time I have seen the big animals ship through.

Can you imagine what the UPS bill for shipping would have been if they didn't do it gratis? And I bet it was overnighted too:D

The new aquarium looks to be pretty impressive. Here is an aerial view http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/media/images/GAAquarium020803N65.jpg

Wow, thanks for the link! I had no idea that Georgia was opening a new aquarium this fall (November 23, 2005). I'm very excited about that, and to think, I wouldn't have found out about it so soon if not for this post, thanks again! Oh, and check out their site:

Now that's unfair... I tried my UPS account and it wont let me ship something that weights 54,000 pounds.
