I am going to take down my 10 gallon FW tank and want to connect it to my 20 gallon prop tank which sits right above it. What kind of HOB overflow should I get? How do I create a return? DO I connect the overflow with PVC piped down to the 10 gallon? If so how?

Thanks

You can use rigid PVC, but most people ise pool vacuum cleaner hose. You can get them at places like wal-mart, pool stores, etc. I would drill the 20-gal instread of getting a HOB.

For a return, you just need a pump and some hose and fittings. Someone might chime in with a site that shows pictures and a how-to.

I drilled a ten gallon and rigid plumbed it to the sump like this,

The retun is just flex tubing with pvc elbows that hook over the lip of the top tank.
