Putty problems

For my first attempt to bond frags to rocks I tried using Loctite Epoxy Putty. Don't bother. This stuff does NOT stick to wet rocks. All it does is cause you to stress out yourself and your coral while trying to make it work. I'm going to try a gel superglue next and see if it works any better.

Go to Home Depot (maybe Lowe's will have it) and get Aquamend.
It's a reef safe epoxy putty that many here use to mount frags.

The superglue gel works wonders. Sometimes too wonderous! I managed to completely coat 3 polyps of a zoanthid colony cause the tip became slightly dried underwater. So I squeezed as hard as I could and .........................pop. My fingers and the zoo's were covered.
I just had to share that Kodak moment with everyone. ;)


BTW, all polyps on that frag opened except for one.
