Help with a protein skimmer ... Please !

I am looking to buy a protein skimmer for a 150 gal. tank .My wet/dry filter is not big enough for a skimmer to go in it, so I need one that will stand next to it . I can not hang one on the side either because of my canopy .I have a height of 27 inches under the stand , so it will have stand under 27 inches and some room to empy the collector cup . any ideas ? maybe a site to order from ? or a make and model ? Any help would be greatly appreciated ... Thanks ...

I love MRC products. I have two of their skimmers and a custom sump. One of the skimmers was also custom made to fit under a very small stand - only had 17" to play with. A lot of people, including myself, believe they are one of the best bang-for-buck units. Andy is great to work with - top notch customer service. Sounds like an MR-1 or MR-2 would fit under your stand. I use an MR-2 on my 180.
