i cant get a picture, but it looks like a HUGE diatom, its on my gorgonian, and it is the size of a nickel, they are not feather dusters, but they also look like one, except they have like another set of crown on the inside. there has always been one, but i just noticed 2 of them. should i get rid of them? anyone know what i am talking about? or have a picture of one?

It sounds like you have a barnacle on your gorgonian. I don't think they are harmful, but if you want to get rid of it just put some super glue over the hole where the crown comes out.
