Recently I have noticed that I am losing tetras to my overflow. They try to eat anything that is not pulled in yet, and find themselves sucked down. I have tryed to keep the overflow clean so that they would leave it be, but so far that hasn't worked. Does anyone know anything that I could use as a screen to prevent them from being sucked in that will not restrict flow?

I went to Michaels and bought their 39 cents plastic sheet for cross stiching, cut it and weved it into the over flow. It's cheap and flexible.

fiberglass window screen and super glue gel should work as well.

Thanks, thoughs are good, however, I would like to be able to remove the screen if need be, so Rosebud2929's idea will be on the top of my list.

do the window screen and glue corners on it so that you can place on top of the overflow but still remove it. That is to say fold it on the edges to make corners.
