I always see nice photos on ReefCentral but rarely do people post pictures of their tanks at their worst. Post your ugliest pictures here so we can all feel comfortable that we're not the only one with "ugly" phases (algae bloom, accident, disaster, etc.).

This is the worst my tank has ever looked.. I just stopped doing maintenance after a cyano outbreak. After I started neglecting it, the cyano just disappeared..??:confused:

Ok, so it's a cycling shot, but it still looks like crap. Sad part is I haven't really bothered to take any photos of it looking good.

WOW, djr that is a bad looking tank. I know what you mean, I will post some pics of one of my tanks when I was cycling. it looks like a bomb went off inside of it. I has powerheads strung all over the place and salt creep all over. when I get home from the office I will post. they will make your look beautifull.

The hair algae is the least of my worries. I wonder if the Blob Sculpin eats Don King Algae....

Im sorry but how do ya'll get your tanks to look all cloudy like that? Ive never had a tank that cloudy....the only time mine have ever been cloudy was when I just poured in southdown and added water.....

I no longer have this tank but here is my attempt at how well I could grow hair algae :D BTW this is after cleaning as much as I could
