help green hammer head

A piece of my green hammerhead coral broke off.... What should I do????? Is it going to die? Should I take it out of my tank? I am lost please help.

Are we talking a branching hammer? What "broke" off, was it just flesh, or flesh and skeleton?

Flesh and skeleton.... I just bought it 4 days ago....

Your reply tells me that we're talking about a branching hammer. Basically, you have just "fragged" your first coral. Put the small piece near the rest of the coral, or in another spot in your tank that's not close to any other corals. Hammers pack a wicked sting, and have long sweeper tentacles to do the stinging.
