I just had to post this, I am sooo happy, with 4 200lb guys, a bunch of 2x4's, we walked my tank across the room, with only a little shifting of rocks and coral.

I had to move it for I am starting construction on the frame of my 225.

4 guys on one side, move it a foot, then 4 guys on the other side move it a foot.... all the way across the room...

I also had the foresight to put casters on the bottom of the cabinet 4 yrs ago.

My back is sore.... :)

I drained about 400 lbs of water out too.. some of the corals were exposed, but no ill effect... I guess they thought it was low tide :)

It took 4 guy to move each side an inch at a time. WOW! How long and how far does it take before the move is completed? How heavy was the tank? Congratulation in successfully moving the tank.

that's exactly what I was wondering;

How did you go about moving it?

Did you lever it or something?
I'm really curious now =)

We used 2 2x4's on each side, and 4 guys on each side, and we lifted and moved .. one side at a time...

We moved it about 20 feet... essentially across the room so I can set up my new tank in the old spot.

We put the 2x4's through the doors in the cabinet, and under, and braced under the tank, and one guy on each side of the 2x4.
