A buddy of mine is getting ready to stock his store and I have been pestering him into setting up a group buy for some phtyo.

I will be the contact for the group buy. Everything needs to be turned in by Sunday night, May 22.

Paypal or cash... either way. I live in Corona and work in Santa Ana in case you live out in the OC.

I will pick up everything Monday afternoon, so it will be ready to get picked up from my house around 6:00 or so.

I can also bring some into work with me since there is a refrigerator, but I only work from 8am to 2pm. However, I can always just stay at my girlfriend's house one night... she lives close to Fish 2000. I'm pretty flexible. Of course people can always pickup for other people that they know.

How long does a 1 once bottle usually last or in other words how many times does one feed a coral? Definetly interested I work in Santa Ana too

they say one pump every other day... I would think it last 2 to 4 months, depending on use. They are good for 6 months in the refrigerator.

Im in but i got a few questions. What about the bigger sizes of liquid life? Both the BIO and Coral come in 30 and 60mL sizes and Marine comes in 30,60 and 120mL sizes. Rather then buying more then one of each i bet it would be a better deal if we buy the bigger sizes.

How much for the 8oz DT's and is the Phytoplankton avaible?

I guess its all about preference. I havnt used anything but the BioPlankton and Oyster egg. I thought both worked very well. I have also hear great things about the CoralPlankton as well. People have said that they fish cant get enough of the MarinePlankton as well.

None of this is live so shelf life for all except coralplankton is pretty long due to being frozen.


Shelf life stated on Marine depots website:

CoralPlankton has a four month shelf life and should always be refrigerated.
MarinePlankton has a three year shelf life when stored in freezer.

From DT farms site they just state that the oyster eggs can be stored for a very long time if frozen.

Nothing much. If we decide to meet there so I can give you guys the phyto... dont hang out in the store unless you are looking for something to buy or browsing. I apologized for being late and having everyone just sitting around in his store... He is doing us a favor by allowing us to meet there, so we should be very thankful and respectful.

He was not complaining at all... he is a good guy and offered me a job :) (IT consulting stuff)


Frank (reefcollection): Just wanted to say thanks again for letting us meet there. I will let you know ahead of time when it comes time for delivery. Im guessing Tuesday or Wednesday... depending on what everyone agrees to... Again... thanks.

Yes. I will be posting when I get all the stuff and then you all get to figure out what day is best for everyone to show up.

There is someone that is going to meet me by Fish 2000 during the week. Basically I will post where I can meet people and then you all need to figure out what place is best for you.

I know there are a few people that are going to pick up for other people that they know... I will need to have a list of the people that are going to do that. This way the stuff goes with the right people :)

I am waiting to talk to Frank about what day we could meet there. Im shooting for Tuesday afternoon so I can get most of the stuff off of my hands. I can also meet at Fish 2000 tuesday as well, either before or after I meet at reefcollection. If we could meet at reefcollection at 7:00 and then Fish 2000 at 8:30, it would make my life easier so I dont have to deal with as much traffic. Let me know if that works for everyone.

Bugs said that he was going to come out this way tonight and offered to pick up the orders for the people meeting at reefcollection. If this is ok with you all, please let me know ASAP so I can make sure everything is setup when he gets here.

This would keep me from having to deal with traffic after work, specially since I work from 8:00am to 3:00pm and would have to hang around for a few hours.

For people who want to meet in the tustin/irvine/santa ana area:
I work off of Baranca and Dyer and can meet you at my work, or at Fish 2000 after work... naturally this is around 3:00. If this is an issue for a few people, I can always stay at my girlfriend's house one night and meet at Fish 2000, but I need to coordinate a time so that I can get rid of this stuff with the fewest hours of traffic driving.



I dont know when the next time I will offer a group buy is. This is a lot of work, specially when you dont actually make money off of it. This probably the first time in my life that I have spent $1100 and didnt get anything :)

Im not complaining. Im glad that I could do this for everyone, but man o man... they are some work. I was surprised how quickly the orders flew in and how much quicker the money flew in.

If you have a problem with the meeting times, please let me know. I can work something out with you on another day or you can have someone else pick up your order that is closer....

I am going to brinng everything to work tomorrow in an icechest and we will have to figure out where and when you all want to meet. I would much rather meet everyone left on the same day so I dont have to drive all over southern california.
So, Tuesday I am free and will be in Orange County. Wedneday and Thursday, we will have to schedule something because I will be home.
