Skim- Wet or dry

What is the difference between wet skim and dry? Which is better?

Everyone has their own opinion (as with everything else in this hobby). I like to dry skim. Most like to wet skim. Dry skimming you get a lower amount of more concentrated skimmate. Wet skimming you will get a greater amount of less concentrated skimmate. Try both and see what you like. Jim

I try for the middle--slime skim with lots of dry foam. My Remora produces this reliably day after day. My ViaAqua SK-388...well, it works right for about day and then I have to mess with it for three days.
