I am building a skimmer and I need to drill a hole in the PVC skimmer body for a 1" drainpipe I will use PVC cement for the joint and I need a watertight fit.

What size hole saw would I need for 1.5" PVC

For 1" Sch.40 PVC 1 5/16"(actual O.D.), you might get by with a 1 1/4"HS then ream it out, or 1 3/8"HS and have a slight gap to fill.

use uniseals. they use standard hole saw sizes and are way easier than dealing with glue.

I looked them up, but the company is in New Zealand. I don't get the impression that they're the kind of place that is interested in selling me one or two of these things. Are they easy to find in places like Lowes or HD? I don't recall seeing them or anything like them on my last trip, but then I wasn't looking for them at the time, so that's not surprising. :)
