I have been battling myself about installing a closed loop in my new 125 acrylic tank. it is not set up yet, but at the same time i dont want to make a $600 tank useless by drilling holes in the wrong spots. the tank itself is 5 feet long, 2 feet tall, and 18 inches wide. it has 2 overflows, one in each corner that sticks out twards the center 11 inches. so that leaves 38 inches for the closed loop help me decide where to drill the holes. I want to have one intake and 2 returns, i am not sure how far down from the eurobraced top i should make the returns.

i layed in a pvc internal on my 180, no glue, just to get the holes perfect. once i had that perfect, i could mark the spots perfect the 1st time.. i stole the layout from the picture gallery here. your right, sorta pricey place to make a mistake..

I drilled all the holes (5) for my closed loop through the bottom, that way if I decide I don't want to use it in the future I'll just plug the bulkheads.

ok, how about this. a 1,125gph pump, intake centered 8 in from the bottem. and 2 returns, 18 inches from the bottem and 6 inches from each side of center.
