I would like to know what this growth is too. I have had this on a small colony that I could not save even after H2O2/tank water dip. They closed up and disappeared.:mad2:

I've had those infect some of my colonies too. They spread from colony to colony really fast. You have to catch it when it first starts. So what I did was I took all the colonies out and did a fresh water dip with lugol iodine and used a small needle to puncture and squeeze all of the white zit looking infections out. Some polyps will recover and some wont. Sometimes the whole colony would be lost because the infection is too severe. The trick is to catch it early and get rid of the infection. I also do follow up dips after the the zoos recover for a couple of days.

Fresh water dip alone won't work because the white spots are inside the skin of the zoos.

well, I gave all the zoos in my tank a nice fresh water and lugol dip last night. I had no nudis....but I needed peice of mind. I took a pin to the worst infected colony, and Spartan was right...it is like a zit. I poked and scraped it up pretty good and let it sit in a saltwater/lugol dip to prevent infection. I looked at all my colonies and almost all of them have at least a spot or two...I popped those as well and dipped them. I'm going to do a water change and change out my carbon. Every other day, I will do a saltwater/lugol dip for ten minutes on the zoos and keep my fingers crossed. I will let you guys know what happens...it may be too late to save at least one of my colonies, the polyps in the back are shriveled and white.

They are most probably a transmitable infection caused by where you bought them. If you bought them from the LFS, then the tank was probably in its early stage of infection. At least this is what I presume. If you catch the infection before it propagates, then you should have a very big chance of saving your colony.
I also have a question. My week old zoo frags have not opened yet. I took them back to the LFS to have them look at them. They said it was probably preditorial. They also iodine dipped them. How long should it be before they open up again?

I have had zoos that took a couple weeks to fully open up. I thought they were dying, but not so. Give them some time, they are stressed with the move to the lfs and the dip.

Yeah it usually take a couple of days after a fresh water dip for severly infected colonies to recover and open.
