Anyone Selling Metal Halide?

Hey I'm looking for a 250w metal halide setup (retro or pendant) for a good deal, electronic ballast would be better. I know about ocean encounter.com but they are sold out on the evc. Let me know if you have something sitting around.

i have a dual pfo 250 standard ballast, brand new, never even fired it up. i ordered two, thinking i was getting a bigger tank. but we all know how that goes. the only problem tho, is when it was assembled the ballast inside the housing was too close to the end/switches, and one of the switches broke, i got tired of playing around with it, and once i found out i only needed on of the ballasts i just let it be. i'll let it go for 100$ if you want it. only thing you have to do is adjust the ballast inside prolly 10min worth of work. if that. i got on Quick disconnect for it as well if you'd like.

I have a 2x 250w IC MH system, all wires, mogul socket, Spider reflectors, used 10k XM bulbs if you are interested. They are less than a year old and price is not set. We could work something out if you needed.

Tiger and jy544: I am asking $225 per set up, you pay shipping and insurance. I pay for boxes and shipping materials, unless of course you come to pick the stuff up. I also have a ton of other stuff for sale, including a 120g AGA RR tank, stand, canopy, several external pumps, a CR set up (plug and play), Dual Stage Ranco controller for chiller and heater, and a bunch of other stuff. I haven't listed things for sale on the ORCA website because everything is still in boxes from my move down here two weeks ago. The tank is still in the crate, perfect for transporting!! Plus, if there is any damage, North American Transport will pay for a replacement as they moved me down here.

edit: oh crap, I almost forgot about my prized Tunze 6100 with single controller and magnet mount. Brand new, never touched water, as is most of my electronics. I was going to set up the new 120g, but moved down here and decided that my family time was more important, so I am taking a break for a while.

I hate it when it sounds like I am price gouging!! I am not trying to make a profit here, I am trying to sell it for what I think it is worth. I'll entertain offers and trades. Heck, I could use a new kitchen table (sm round for the breakfast nook), a gas powered weed-wacker, and a patio set for the lanai. I certainly didn't want to look like a crook.

edit: I almost forgot, I would consider a freshwater tank set-up in trade for anything that I have. The freshwater tank must be presentable, stand, tank and canopy and be less than 100g. Ehiem canister filters are a big plus and can get you more goods for trade. I will be posting this stuff in the trading forum as well as the ORCA forum this weekend.

I didn't mean to come down saying you are gouging. I just wanted to point out what new ones run. Depending on where you buy it, it can cost up to 50 more. I just bought 2 for 205 a piece plus 10 shipping.

I got 2 new icecap 250 watt electronoic ballasts, 2 reflectors, 2 xm 10k 250 watt bulbs, wiring for the plug (I made the wire to the reflector from a computer power cable), and mogul socket. Basically, I had to only wire the reflector/mogul to the ballast and screw it into my canopy. I got my first set at DIYREEF.COM for under 200 a set and the second set I got at premium aquatics. I mentioned that I bought my last set at DIYREEF and he matched the price. Their regular advertised price I believe is 250 or around there. I now buy all my equipment from them because of their CS. Great people.

Uh, DIYREEF is out of business. He was out of Jackson, Michigan. I bought my refractometer from him as well as my Ranco Dual Stage Controller. He said the business got the best of him and he is selling everything, as well as the web site. I didn't know he sold IC products?!? I bought my entire system from PA because they were driving distance fgrom my house in Indiana.

Thanks Jay24K I'll just get a new one since I would rather have a new bulb and you can't beat that price. You can also get an EVC e-ballast setup for 159.99 w/ bulb but they are out of stock now.

uhh I know it went out of business. Since they were out, I asked premium if they would match his original price. They didn't have to and they might not do it again, however they did it for me and I picked it up at a good price. However, I did turn around and buy more stuff from them so it worked out for both of us.
