How did you acclimate the urchin?

I acclimate him for abought one hour.

Can i make him an iodine dip?

Acclimation was way to short and iodine dip will stress the animal even more. Iodine (above natural level to which they have been subjected for quite some time and have adapted their metabolism to) is practically poison to a lot of animals.

Hi,

What is the salinity of your system? It sounds like the urchin has died from the shock of being put into an inappropriate salinity.

The salinity is 1.025

The urcin dont move at all.

I dont know if the urchin can recover. Is a urchin is storng animal.

The urchin was weak from the begining. When he came part of his body was bald and he didnt move at all.

Thank you for your respond.

Did you order the urchin online? or did you get it from your LFS? Why did you buy it if ou could see that it was unhealthy?

If the urchin dies will it be bad for my system?

I don't know how big the urchin or your tank is for that matter. It's a good idea to remove any dead animal, especially a large one.

i agree, if it's dead, it may cause an amonia spike.
