Thanks to all that came out to this one, I would like to thank WOWK TV 13 for dropping by and covering our meeting. It will air Saturday at 9AM. I would also like to thank everyone who participated by bringing in some really nice frags to this one. We saw some rare ones again including 2 more true blue zoa frags; we also had some nice colorful pavonas show up which were a welcome change. We had very few problems and only had one coral that was left after having been bid on not bad at all IMO.

THANKS to all those who volunteer to help make this happen, without you the CVRC would just be an idea.

Thanks, to the crew who helped label, bag, & show, the corals up for bid. You all deserve awards for putting up with me :)

Jason I didn’t get to hear you lighting 101 speech but Im sure a few people understood it if I know you :)

Once again I thank you, Barry thanks you and we will see you all soon.

Hear hear! (or is it here here!)
I had a good time, even though I didn't "win" any corals.

But, I did get one very fine and BEAUTIFUL Lunar (lyre-tail) Wrasse! He looks AWESOME in my tank!

I had a great time. Especially when it came to door prizes... I won a bio-flo, my wife won salt and the sterilizer!

thanks to all that worked so hard.

Wish I could have gone into a few things I had prepared before the auction but we ran out of time so I'll post it over here for everyone who wants to hear it.

Enjoy that UV thats one of the largest prizes we have given away but hey it was a cellebration!!!!

Glad to hear he/she/it looks good in your tank Todd... I know the our 125 looks much better with out him in it! :p
After getting home last night, we re-staked the 125 -- looked like an explosion had happened from the wrasse catching tournament held earlier in the day. While waiting for all of the corals to drip.... I think they were in buckets for about 2 1/2 hours while we were stacking rock. Couldn't tell that much this morning 'bout how everyone was settling in --- but this evening when I get home I'll try to take some pictures and figure out how to post them...

Thanks everyone, for the meeting and the auction .... We'll have the 180 back to looking respectable in short order!!! #@!!! wrasse....

Yeh, Thanks again Lisa, er uh... Big Spenda!
The wife really likes him/her too! So, that's a plus.
He already showed some of the old-timers who the new boss was, found a place to sleep/hide, and hate a bunch of food. I think he'll be fine.

you're welcome any time, anything we can do.

Brenda enjoyed the meeting and helping out too.

She will be at our next one as well and she doesn't even have a freshwater tank set up at this time.

I'm trying to talk her into setting it back up saltwater though.

I just spoke with WOWK. The piece will air Friday during the 5-7 AM broadcast and again that evening during the 6:00PM. As I can’t pick up that station I would appreciate it if someone could tape it for me.

Thanks
Don

Did they change the air time?

I don't know maybe it is because they are in Princton and their TV station is different. Need to check with Barry or Ron

The time I listed was what WOWK in Charleston gave me. I talked to the reporter that did the piece and she said that the time had been changed.

They just emailed me this:

The story has been changed and will air as part of our “Good News this Friday, pass the word if you would like. I had a great time shooting the story; everyone was very friendly and helpful. I’m sure I’ll see you again with my addiction to marine aquariums.

I have finally counted the corals auctioned off Sunday the total was 108 with around 18 sellers which made this the biggest auction so far. We are averaging a little over 100 frags per meeting! 108 more saved from the wild, whether you like the auction or not thats a Great Job Everyone :)
