can anyone tell me if there is an up-to-date guide for fragmentation of various corals.

I have read a little from threads here and on the main board regarding specific species or groups, but I do not recall anyone mentioning a book or other reference that would address a broad range of corals

a tank my students are building over the summer has the specific goal of becoming a frag tank to be able to learn and to later trade with others. I want my students to be able to study different corals to determine which corals will best fit that bill

I don't know of one but you cah go to the garf website. They have very good literature and even some video on fragging different species.

Probably one of the best. We have it in the C-SEA Library

Calfo's Book of Coral Propagation, Volume 1 (http://www.readingtrees.com/bocpV1.htm)

Anthony Calfo has a great book on fragging corals, but the name escapes me at the moment. Maybe someone can provide the title?

It looks like Connie and John were typing at the same time.

I wrote an article with Adam Cesnales on fragging a Turbinaria, Elegance coral, and Fungia here,

We also have plans for at least two other parts for this series, so keep your eye out. In the mean time, Anthony's book is excellent!

many thanks to the four of you for your advice and information.
More days than not, budgit cuts and more standardized tests make teaching feel more like spitting into the wind, but when you get good help from people in the know it brightens and eases the day

thanks again
