I finally got rid of my hair algae. I tried everything various assorted snails which helped a little. I bought and use a DI/RO system for the water, also I reduced the feeding. Hermit crabs also went in and did not seem to do much. I actually thought about putting a Tang in yes I know in a 55 very bad idea. So how did I get rid of it. Well I was in my local Deathco and noticed they had Algae Cowry in stock. So I got three of these bad boys. Unfortunatly for deathco these very expensive snails rang up at the register as much less expensive turbo snails. Well anyway within 2 weeks the hair algae is almost gone.
