Looking for sand to put in a 55 gallon. does anyone know a place where you can get cheap sand suitable for aquarium. thanks

The aquarium fish store in Apopka has the live 20# bags for $21 that is the cheapest I found around town

I too used play sand... because it is soo fine it gets seeded with bacteria quickly with just a little L/S. Just rinse it real well because it will have some clay in it usually. I like it because it is cheap and looks natural and if it gets too dirty you can siphon it out and add new. It works very well I have it in 3 tanks. It is easy to clean and my yellow headed sleeper goby loves it too!
