View Full Version : orange slug on one of the sponges

i just checked my tank and i got this orange slug on one of rocks that has a yellow sponge on it. it appears to be eating it... i'm not sure what to make of it. get rid of it?

It sounds like a nudibranch of some sort. Most are very specific feeders, so it will probably eat all of the sponge but nothing else in the tank (and then starve). If you don't mind losing the sponge you can keep the nudi, but if the sponge means more to you than the nudi then ditch the nudi.

If it's possible I would love to see a pic of it along with the sponge. Since the exact diet of most nudis isn't known, a good pic of it with its food might even be usefull for science.

sorry, i took it out and put it in a container... forgot about it til this morning :(
