Is that what it's called, the white or black plastice grid sheets? Anybody have any they can spare? I just need maybe 1' x 1' - I'll buy it or trade it. I tried HD and they don't have it. Where can you get this stuff?

TIA,

David

Go back to HD and go in by the lights. They have it there for like 6 bucks for a 4x8 sheet

Home Depot and Lowes calling it light diffuser. Its usually where the dropped ceiling panels are in the lighting dept. It comes in 24" x 48" panels not 4x8.

I paid $15.00 for mine at Lowes. I haven't seen it that low for a long time.

Thanks, I got it. It was a 4x8 and was six bucks as promised. Lowes stinks. ;-)

You got it in 4x8? I've never found it that big before.

Yup, 4x8, in the lighting section.

is there a "wrong" side to use on the eggcrate? mine reflects a lot of light--but when i take it off, the tank gets brighter...does anyone have any ideas how to allow as much light as possible to my tank?

I was told eggcrate takes away from your lighting. You don't get as much light as you should with it on. I use mine on the back of my canopy to block the open space.

Anything (even "clear" plastic or glass) between the light source and water's surface will reduce the intensity of light getting to the tank....

The eggcrate is good for making plenums, or for making racks to stack your rock on, etc.... it is easy to work with and bonds easily to acrylic using super glue or Weld-On #4
