I have this little guy in my tank on some micro algea
It looks like a bottle brush that has been squished down like a slinky. It's white and abut 1/4", at night it extends itself to about
2". I've been watching it for about two weeks and it hasn't moved from its spot.

I think you might be talking about a certain type of non-moving gastropod or snail that waves a long "bottle brush" around to catch food. I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about, but can't remember anything about the name other than it starts with an "S" or a "P" (Sorry, I know most things in this hobby start with an S or P!)

possibly come kind of hydroid? I have a few of them in my nano.
