My sister and I got into a light discussion about the "proper" way to pronounce coupon. How do you pronounce it?

(note that the poll follows the rules)

Somebody calls coupons BrianD? Sheesh, that's weird.

Cashier: "Your total is $24.57."

You: "Oh hold on, I have a BrianD for the Kraft singles."

Freaky.

Just the fact that they are buying Kraft singles shows their judgment should be questioned.

LOL!!! Who doesn't buy Kraft Singles? Well, ok, I don't eat them (I am a provolone girl) but my hubby loves them.

Crafts singles, is that what you use to make small projects?

Yes it sure is. I use elmers glue to glue them to board, makes a wonderful memo board, but becomes stinky over time.
I do however love the look of green on the walls.

:). It has the prettiest green fuzzy look to it. Curles on the edges and sometimes there are little critters walking on it all, but actually its a work of art.
My very own creation

NO NO, leave them curled up, add character to the piece. All original unretouched.

dc

Fold them like gum wrappers?

Have you ever tried folding plastic wrap? Maybe using them for dried flowers? There just has to be a use for them.

We also use the Kraft Singles... I buy the Deli Cheese for salads though, get a big chunk of it to cut up, can't do that with the single's... My daughter loves longhorn cheese  , not sure why I'm telling The Lounger's this one... I think I'm losing it :crazy1: ...

The only thing I use em for is grilled cheese...they're worthless for any other type of sandwich. Toss a little ham or maybe lebanon bologna (a local thing I think) in there and grill it up, yummy!!!

the deli will slice my cheese thicker too. I know I know, I could just use two singles...that's another thing, that's a hell of alot of work opening all those singles, it's a nightmare when I'm eatin cheese n crackers!:D

dc

LOL, I actually use velveeta for a broccoli, garlic, cheese dip!:D It also makes good fish bait! I like about any kind of 'real' cheese.

Q-pon here. But I don't use them, so it doesn't matter.
We buy Velveeta slices, I don't like them though (my husband does). I eat pepper jack on my sandwiches. And I order my burgers without cheese alot because I know I'm getting American cheese, and I just don't like it!

Going to have to disagree :p - Last night I had a GAC (Grilled American Cheese) on chulla (sp? - thick Jewish bread) with French Fries and a Chocolate Malt. So very tasty - and healthy too.:)

It's really good! The first thing I make when fresh tomatos are in season. French bread for the sandwiches is preferable, if not then wheat.

Real cheese is processed through the gut of a bacteria. Kraft is merely a cheese like substance.

Crusty Old Shellback
04/13/2005, 09:59 AM
No need for soup. Just some bread, a few slices of Cheadder or longhorn cheese, and a couple of slices of ham. Put a little mayo on the bread, slap some butter on teh outside and grill to a nice golden brown.
You can take that kraft singles wantabe cheese and go to the woods and wipe your, well you get the idea. That's about all it's worth. ;)

It isn't exactly like fresh bacon, it's not crisp(i dun like crisp bacon anyway). For when I'm wakin up and needin to get out the door and get to work(chattin on the RC forums) it's nice to just throw some bacon in the microwave for 20 seconds and got bacon for a sandwich I can eat on the way to work. I'm not saying I'm lazy, but I have had to throw bacon away because it went bad, often. So this is easier for me:)

Fits right up there with kraft singles in my book. Can use that in the woods too while your at it.

WHY is everyone so into these fake foods? Man they don't even taste like the real thing. Bet you all use miricle whip too (another KRAFT product) instead of REAL MAYO. :D

Wonder if KRAFT also makes that fake bacon.

I eat a whole box of it at my desk(everyday at work)....wrap a few pieces in any kind of cheese or cheese food. Add cinnamon rolls, grits, an omlet, and a Dr.pepper and thats it till lunch. Lunch....a bunch of grilled(pick your cheese) sandwiches....cut diagonal so I can dunk them in cold milk..before I eat them.

I'm not the pickiest bacon eater though. Long as it tastes like bacon. I have a jar of bacon bits that I eat at my house while watchin tv. It's kind of like popcorn:D. And ya know there is no bacon in bacon bits!? No meat whatsoever. So if you're a vegitarian you can eat bacon bits....weird.
