Stopped in Tropical Reef yesterday. (In Toledo on McCord road). It is under new ownership. The guy seemed nice and gave me a decent price on a little zoa frag. Just thought it was worth mentioning, not that the previous owner wasn't a nice guy.

Hmmm, I was just there last week. Same owners. I'll have to check it out today.

I was just there last week as well. The owner wasn't there but his brother was. If they changed ownership that was fast.

Just stopped by, looked impressive. He has some big plans for new displays and SPS! Yay!

I'd wait a bit before stopping in, he has the place torn up a bit.

It's nice to hear they are actually going show some concern for their saltwater livestock whoever owns it. The saltwater animals were under such horrible conditions.

That guys name was Salid or Salim or something and yes, he sold it. The new owner's name is John.

Thats Awesome that it changed owners. I originally bought a custom made tank from the previous owner and he took me to the cleaners on the price, but I had to do it since he was the only one interested in helping me get a custom tank done. Everyone else blew me off. I'll have to stop back in there again soon.

He's put in new systems this weekend. He said all of the SW tanks shared the same water and one wet-dry, then said I could make an offer on any of the fish in there. There was a yellow tang that looked like somebody stepped on it with a muddy boot. It was covered in something (ick?), and I imagine that yuck has made its way through every tank. I declined the offer, but he had a really nice reef tank setup on the other side of the room. No prices though.

Is the reef tank the on that's been there the whole time or did he put the new one in that he's been talking about? I bought a yellow clown goby from him recently and he's a really neat little fish. He's really healthy. I originally planed on putting him in a 10 gallon nano but he escaped into the 75 gallon. Oh well, he's cool. He hangs out in my SPS.

It is the new tank that he was talking about. There is now 2 tanks. The new one is his personal one from home. He is building a new house and building in a new one. So that one is now in the shop. Very nice set up.

Has anyone gone to trilliby lately to see if they have a saltwater section yet?

I'll stop tomorrow before work, St. Anne's is almost across the street.

I'm gonna have to get in there and check it out. Depending on what I see I might take him up on his $30 lifetime member club.

So whats the selection like on corals at the Tropical Reef? I'm in need of zoas zoas and more zoas. Some nice rics and blastos would be nice to find too.

I haven't seen any blasto in Toledo ever. I'm probably going to go check Tropical Reef out Saturday.
