I have been waiting for over a month now for this order to come in from marine depot... tired of waiting. Wondering if anyone has one they would like to part with, or can point me in the direction of a LFS that might have one. Here is the link for reference.

Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance...

Does this kit allow air to enter and get chopped up by the impeller as opposed to the venturi that comes with the MJ and attaches to the output?

Are you powering a skimmer with a MJ1200?

That kit comes standard in the SeaClone protein skimmers. Someone probably has one in their junk pile and they could pull the venturi kit off for you. Check around.

add a bio ball to your MJ. It makes nice small bubbles.

I am powering my CPR BakPak skimmer. I have a fabricated solution going on right now, and it is working well.. but noisy as hell. Friend has the same set up (bakpak/mj1200), but with the venturi attachment. Same level of skimming -> less noise and bubbles. Anyhow, use to the noise now!!!

The air regulator comes standard with new MJ1200's. If you adjust it just right, it cuts down on noise and maximizes the bubbles.

Do you need the whole "kit" (cap thing that attaches to powerhead + tubing + adjustable air valve on the end) or just the last thing? I recently ordered the "kit" to add to my CPR overflow and am not using that adjuster thing.

Thanks SunfishFun!

I actually need the cap. Were did you order it from?

Premium Aquatics - only place I had found who had them available. I had to build an entire order based on this $4 item! HaHa - when you look at the package it looks like about 25 cents of cheapo plastic tidbits!

how does adding a bio ball increase the bubbles to the MJ1200?
