My roommate got a green wolf eel about 4 months ago and last month it had eggs. The eggs are purple-ish and all in a large clump with about 50 or so eggs. After a few days the eggs dissapeared so i assumed that they had died.
Now i got a green wolf eel 3 days ago and this morning we noticed that my roommate's eel had eggs once again...so i decided to put the eggs in my tank hoping that my eel would fertilize them and we could have babies. All day my eel did not touch the eggs so we decided to put the eels together and see if one would make the other fertilize them...
they started causing friction like they were shocking one another ( i thought maybe they were fornicating but i am not sure)...
Can anyone with any sort of knowledge fill me in on how i can get the eggs to hatch, or what is going on??
Thanks a lot
