Should i get a HOT Magnum canister filter to polish the water in my nano? Going to probably run it for 15-20 min weekly during my water change. I have detritus in constant suspension and would like to get that all filtered out.

This is becasue of increased flow with powerheads, and return pumps. It doesnt settle, and is always floating around... (ugly)

Any other options?

Do you have a skimmer? O know they are hard to find for nano's but would help out lots... you could run a canister no problem... just make sure to clean it out after ever use.....

No skimmer.....

But i was thinking about getting that canister filter... it's only $50, and i will just use it when i do water changes...

That should work fine... toss a little filter floss with some carbon in there and polish away!!!!! just remember to toss the floss after you are done.....

If you opt for the HOT Magnum, use the micron cartridge. That will remove even the smallest debris.

Just use the micron filter on the hot mag.
