I am looking into upgrading my lighting from regular fluro lighting to either T5's or MH. I have very good coraline growth under fluro's which I would like to continue.

Which type of lighting would get the best coraline growth?

Good calcium will really help it grow. Light is not needed that highly for Coraline from what i understand. In fact I have see MH light inhibit Coraline growth in some tanks.

there are so many forms of coralline, that some type will grow in your tank.As the earlier post stated calcium &(I believe)water flow play a large part on how it does.If you're going to upgrade lights anyway, there is no comparison (IMO)between T5 & MH.With halides you can keep pretty much what ever you want.

I've seen tanks with T5s with coral stocking similar to MH tanks. RJWilson has a beautiful tank with T5's. Check out his thread and private message him for details.
