Hey everyone, I just wanted to share the news that the cheer squad my daughter is on, is going to Nationals this weekend in Williamsburg, Va. We leave early Saturday morning, they don't perform until Sunday morning... Sooo it's going to be a looong bus trip down... Should get there late afternoon... My daughter is looking forward to this trip, as this is her first and last year on this squad... She moves up to the highschool next year :( ... It has been one heck of a year for her, (it was an experience that I'M glad is near the end!!!) :) She really enjoyed it though, the good and the bad... In this amount of time, she has learned alot about cheering, tumbling, and about herself, and the person that she wants to be... Alot of things happened, and for the most part I feel that she got through it, and has learned alot about finding good friends... Well Loungers, wish her and her squad good luck!!! ( if you want to that is... ;) ) It's been a crazy year!!! :crazy1:

Thanks everyone for the support, she read these and had the biggest smile, although she was a bit confused by what aLittletank said at first  ... She doesn't quite understand how things work here in The Lounge yet :) ... I had to run to the store to get the paper, put in a happy add for her and some of her " group "... Huge add from the Cheer Coach too... Keep those " good Lucks " coming!!!

Well we are home... It was a looong trip down, and a looong trip back!!! :( ... The girls gave it their best, they made no mistakes that I could see ( not that I'm a judge, just a mom... ) There were a total of 5 squads competing in their division... They recieved 3rd. place runner up... which is really 4th. place :) ... I am very proud of all the girls, they really did their routine, cleanly and quite frankly they nailed it like never before... Some of the girls were crying, and I asked them, did you do your best??? they said yes... I told themt that's all they could do, and to feel proud of yourselves for making it this far, and doing your very best!!! It didn't keep them from crying, but I had to say something to them... Sooooo that's how the girls did at National's, and I wanted to update those Lounger's that wanted to know ;) ... I have to watch the tape from it yet, I'm sure that there would be a way for people to watch it if they wanted to see it, but I would have NO idea on how to make it happen  , any suggestions on how to do this, I'll try them...

Well it's good they had fun. Glad you're a parent that preaches doing your best. So many parents are dissappointed if their kid doesn't win!

;) Thanks Ladies... She'll be reading this one when she gets in from school... It was a trip that I'm glad is over though... I thought that I had left all of the clickiness back in High School... I have never as an Adult felt sooo left out of things in my life, even my little one felt she was left out of things... But she said that was okay b/c she wanted to spend time with just the 2 of us... We went shopping, she lost a bag of clothes and I yelled at her, I felt awful about it, but I was very stressed out, not that it's a reason to justify yelling at her!!! But I told her that $$$ was $$$ and that I wouldnt' replace the clothes that she lost, I felt horrible about the way that I reacted, but I apoligized to her, we went out to Pizza Hut and ate, went mini golfing with another familiy, then she swam for a while and she felt better ;) , and so did I when I saw that she was having fun... Me and some other mom's supervised so that some of the other girls could swim too , and when one of them wanted to leave to go back to her room, I walked her !!! She wasn't going to walk back by herself, even if she thought that it may be an okay idea... But just by the way the trip went, I'll never go again without my Hubby ;) !!! We didn't even ride the bus home, we caught a ride home with another family that we had been mini golfing with :D... Sooo all in all, I guess it could have been a better experience, but I learned alot about people, and that you shouldn't ever make somebody feel that their not part of something...

Yeah its not a sport. It doesn't nearly demand the physical stamina and strength required of bowling, bass fishing and golf. :)

They gave it their all. Tthey deserve a big congratulations as do you for supporting them.
