Okay Walter I am getting a new system a 150gallon with all the bells and whistles. I have a 40gallon breeder refugium with the DSB. I know you hate the DSB in the main system.
Have you changed your thoughts yet on that???

Walt was at the PARC mtg on Monday, he seems to like bare bottom in the main tank and mud in the fuge; n'est pas?

Walt it will be a 150gal with starfire glass , a closed loop system with sea swirls. An external overflow with 2 durso drains.
I will have 3 PFO halides 150watt each the HQI 2-20k and 1-10k
And 2 96watt power compacts actinics. And in the basement the refugium with the lifereef skimmer and reactor along with the iwaki pump and my chiller.

why 150w MHs? 250s would be better suited for this tank. It is 6' long...correct?

May I suggest using an Oceans Motions wave maker for the closed loop. 250w DE MH on magnetic HQI ballasts and ditch those PCs for T5s overdriven with a VHO ballast.

I have had great luck with the 150watt lite they grow and the colors look great . The reef is built up high the tank will be about 5 ft long and it will be wide. The compacts I will up grade later. Hey Walt Chris is building it.

Is Chris working with acrlyic? I am designing a tide pool that I need built. I am looking at getting it done in Philly but would be interested in getting other prices.
