Hi everyone, what gloves can I wear in my tank? Is a latex powder free glove ok? Thanks.

I recomend arm length gloves. You don't know what you've been missing untill you use them.

For one you avoid having your hands wet and you don't introduce extra chemicals to the tank from your hands/arms.

Also they are thick so rarely/ever you get stung by a bristleworm.

I wear regular latex exam gloves to protect the corals from me.Long ones will also protect you.

Latex is too thin. Easily broken and penetrated by coral, even sand particles. Get the red and blue arm length jobs at Marine Depot. Although, you'll have to get used to the lack of tactile feel.

I've had the arm length ones leak on me too often, now I just use standard powder-free vinyl exam gloves. A quick tilt of the wrist before leaving the tank area drains them pretty well.

Just to be on the safe side, I double glove when fragging my fire coral. :eek1:

I never put my hands in the tank without my arm length gloves. I have had them for close to a year now and they have never leaked.
