How did you attach the 45's. No unions?

It's on a 150g tank. The 45s are fixed with silicon to the Squirt nipples - so I can twist them off if I need to. The new Squirt here is rated at 2200gph. I have it running off a Quietone 6000, which only puts out about 1530 at 0' head. After running it for a few days, I've concluded that it is being underutilized at 1530gph in this size tank. So I think I will upgrade to an Ampmaster or equivelant to get up around the 2200 max flow.

All that said, it's really sweet. The fish have are really enjoying the alternating currents. They love playing in it.

Forgot to mention, the input and outputs are 1".

Which drum did you go with? I have one on the way with delayed seq. I am putting revolutions on the ends and they recommend that I go down to 3/4" openings on the outputs. Hopefully that will generate enough flow with my QuieT One.

BTW, no worries about using the silicone on the nipples? Would be nice in case I need to change configurations later.

Cheers!

This is setup on a closed loop, drawing directly from a 1"
bulkhead adapter installed in the rear top left of the tank.

Wizard,
I'm using the standard 1,2,3,4 drum. I used silicone here b/c there was not enough space for threaded fittings. I have never had a problem joining with silicone on pressure applications, but you never know. I let it cure a few days. If you have room, I suggest you glue threaded fittings onto the nipples.

Keep us and Paul updated on exactly how much flow you can get out of it before the magnets skip.
