Hi folks...
I had 2 of what I believe to be Amblyeleotris guttata or 'Pretty Prawn' gobies.

Buuuut... :( One had an unfortunate carpet surfing accident several months ago. Also, after getting rid of a flatworm infestation, suddenly the remaining goby is out and about all of the time, rather than hiding in the rockwork all of the time. I consider this extremely cool. I also wonder if this was why the pregnant female jumped. Not sure, but it has made a big difference in its behavior.
Anyway, the remaining one is the male. (The female was full of eggs when it jummped. :( )
I have found some of these locally, and have been looking at them. My questions are:
1) Should I attemt to get a mate?
2) and if so, is there a way for me to identify a female?
Any thoughts appreciated,
Steve
