do sun polyps generally spread quickly? do they spread at all? anything that i can do to make them spread quicker? thanks alot!

maybe try feeding them more frequently.That may help.

They aren't quick spreaders. You can help new polyps grow though by feeding regularly. I feed nightly.

I feed mine daily and have noticed about 1 inch growth in about a year.

I have saw on RC, can't remember the exact thread, that if kept well fed and if you have good water quality that they will reproduce sexually. The author of the thread had little polyps quite a distance from the parent, showing that it wasn't just a form of budding.

so it actually takes a long time for new polpys to spread?

my cc starfish deciced to gobble up a couple of my new sun polyps.... i could kill it!

Amy... aka TippyToes is the one that had sun plolyps spread all the way across the tank onto the return line. CRAZY right? If you feed nightly you will notice more poylups coming up inbetween the others. and then on the rock surrounding the coral. pretty cool. Mine has grown a little since September when I got it. Definatly have it trained to come out when it is time to feed though.
