macro algae?

Is it possible to put macro in your over flow box?
and still benifit from having it there?

Yes. Provide enough light and it will probably be okay. What you want to avoid is having macro algae that needs to attach to substrate. If you use a chaeto or floating algae, then all you need do is prevent it from 'getting away' and 'getting in the way!' :D
