I am pulling my sandbed this sunday, and will have roughly 180 pounds of sand that I am giving away. You gotta come git it on Sunday, otherwise it fills holes in my yard! :D

I will also have 1 bartletts anthias to give away, a sixline wrasse and a yellow watchman goby to give away.

Email me if you are interested!

So JsL has first dibs on the fish. I am in Alameda.

No one has asked about the sand.

A while ago I came to the conclusion that a sand bed is really a filter that will eventually fill up, and its really hard to clean. So far I have had two bleaching/RTN events that I can trace to sand bed disturbances. I don't like the idea of something in the tank that can kill it - kinda like why I don't keep sea apples in my reef. I would also like to reclaim the 3-4 inches of space it takes up both for the increased water volume and for the visuals. I also like the idea of the DO not crashing in a power failure. The denirification (and plankton production(if that is actually happening) by the bacteria in my rock should be plenty. I can get way more flow and simplify my plumbing. Bascially, I can't see a reason to have the sand except for looks or animals that need it.

My computer died, so I am on backup and don't know what anyones emails said.

If memory serves, JSL is taking all the fish but the Anthias. Fragmented gets dibs on it first.

Someone said the wanted 60 pounds of the sand and someone said they wanted 80 and someone said the wanted 10.

If you are any of those people please post here and I will get you directions.

There should be plenty of sand...it will be going into a trash can, so if you are coming for it, bring your own container.

Sorry to hear about your computer. There are some good cheap dell computer deals out there for around 500 with lcd monitor. check out www.slickdeals.net

I'll be picking up the six line and the yellow watchman goby. Do I need to bring my own bags for the fish or do you have extra?

Please pm me with direction. Thanks!

I think there should be enough for you Bonnie, but I'm not sure.

My experience with stuff like this is 1/2 the people who say the are coming don't show up! :D

Fragmented - Sorry about the confusion. I got mixed up because I got so many PM (event hough I asked for emails). You have first dibs on the Anthias - if you still want it please email me or post to this thread.
Jason - sorry if I have to say no (I'll make it up to you)! :D

Bluenassarius, I don't really know how much sand is going to be left and I would feel bad if you made the trip from Sacto.

Thanks! Yes, I'd love the Anthias.

I tried email, but it didn't go through, so I resorted to PM.

My husband just arrived home from the Bay Area, and won't be going back 'till next weekend. Will that be too late for you? If not, I can have him call you to make arrangements.
