I think they are tube worms, There are 50 - 100 of these brown things on my rock and extend about .25 - .50 from the rock and are about the diameter of a pencile led of smaller with a white stringie thing that protrudes from it durring the day and sometimes the day. (is this a run on sentence?) are they good or bad and how do I get rid of them if they are bad?

I have tons of those and they don't seem to be bad other than the occasional poke you might get when you are moving your rock. They are very sharp so watch out.

They are not bad--I had a bunch of those in my tank.

skooter, if you got them from my corals...they are fine...they filter the water. If you don't like them a coral banded shrimp seem to eat them sometimes.
