The neatest tang I ever came across besides baby gem tangs was a hybrid between a Red Sea Sailfin and Purple. It was amazing looking... just picture both fish smushed together. :D

BTW Greg, sweet picture! I've always been a huge fan of "top-down" fish pictures. I know we see top-down coral and clam pictures regularly but top-down fish pictures have always impressed me in a different way. Maybe we can start a thread dedicated to them... ;)

Those are all absolutely gorgeous fish, Greg( of course, the pics are fabs which goes without me saying it :D)

Here's a pic of a tang, not so much as rare, just not very common I don't think. At least I haven't seen many pictures of them posted.
Ctenochaetus striatus,aka. bristle-toothed tang.

Not the greatest photo, I'm not much of a photographer. But I rarely see these tangs in reef tanks, mimic and convict tang. Not because they are rare or expensive, just not as common or popular. They're great fish though, very mellow for tang standards.

Here's a picture of my black tang. I don't know if it's considered rare. He looks pretty well done to me.

I think those black tangs (Zebrasomas rostratum or something right?) are pretty rare. On www.marinedepotlive.com, they are selling for I think $259 :eek1:

I was wondering if the first pic was taken at the first tank with the open top jungle.

What's up with the bird? A little different than tigers.

I have seen a picture of that. It wasn't all white. It kind of had a cow-like splotchy pattern. Strange looking to say the least.
