Anyone with new style PS2?

I am wanting to get a PS2 and have heard about the new style that came out.
I have also heard that they are silently recalling them for some reason.

If you have one, have you had any problems with it?

This will be my first game system since regular Nintendo. I just want to play GT4:D

I got GT4 surfy. :D Very very good.

I haven't gotten the new style PS2 yet because it doesn't support the harddrive. GT4 is supposed to support downloadable content that would use the harddrive so I'm keeping mine. The new one is sexy though.

i dont have the new model but my brother's friend have one and said that the original is better. he told me that the system keep dying from overheating. i don't know for sure though that's just what he told me.
