coral webs

i have had a hammer coral for about a month and recently moved it from my 20 gallon nano to my 45 gallon with 175 watt halide. yesterday it had these spider web things comming off of it. i was just wondering if anyone knew what these webs are and if they are bad and how i can get rid of them.

I think this one is going to require a picture if you have it. I can only guess that the coral is getting rid of waste. How recent was the move to the larger tank? What type of lighting did the 20 gallon have?

i dont have a camera but i had 65 watt power compact lighting over the 20 gallon. it has been in the larger tank for about 2 weeks maybe more.
