Hello Everyone,

About a month ago, I got a Red Coris Wrasse from Peter (wongkwp). Anyways, the wrasse is still about 3" long. It's halfway between the juvenile and adult stage. It's a gorgeous fish that loves swimming around the tank - so you probably want at least a 55 gallon tank. I actually got the fish to start eating out of my hand. He has been very peaceful towards his other tank mates - including a few clean shrimps and a chromis. My cats loves watching the fish - and the fish will actually swim up to my cats.

So why am I getting rid of him? Because he has a bad habit of knocking over my frags and small rockworks. :-( I like to offer him to someone who either has a FOWLR tank or someone with a very well established tank that don't have small frags that can easily be knocked over.

Anyway, if you can provide the the wrasse a good home, and are interested, please let me know. If no one is interested, then I might be setting up a ROWLR tank soon or redoing all my rockwork so that the wrasse can't knock any frags over. LOL

Thanks
Minh

PS - if anyone has a fish trap that I can borrow to catch him, that would be great.

Catch him while he's sleeping... if you can find him of course.

Arlan,

Unfortunately, he sleeps behind my rockworks. :-P Here's an interesting question - my lights comes on around 3 and goes off around midnight. However, the fish is usually up by noon and "asleep" by 10. Why doesn't he following the "daylight" cycle that I have in my tank?

jet lag?

or maybe he has his own sleep cycle from where he lived before you got him. he's probably confused about why the sun is out later than normal. maybe thats why he's tearing up the place. ... swimming around in the dark wondering where the sun is....

Minh, is the room your tank is in completely dark when the lights are off? Even sunlight shining through a window or the kitchen light being turned and left on wakes all my critters up.

Rob - I understand the fish waking up before the light turns on because of the light leak. I was more curious why it goes to bed when the light is on full blast.

Gael - thanks for the good laugh.

Thanks Everyone. Fish has found a new home. This weekend, I am going to take everything out to catch the fish - unless someone can suggest something different. I won't use the hook and line method - even though I love fishing. My GF and kids would kill me if they found out that I did that to the fish.

Now time to go find a new fish before the cats get really irrated and leave little surprises. ;)
